Still in awe of my Gem, just keep finding more things that it can do. I do think of my guitar as a Kavanagh, I know that it is like a Gibson in looks but I feel that it does have a character of its own a strong brand identity. Moreover I do believe that your pick ups are better than vintage kit( by a fair margin).

The African mahogany and rosewood neck has arrived safely. I am absolutely over the moon.

I have had the whole range of high price guitars from the early seventies until today, including all the names. I have personally never seen such high quality materials and such quality craftsmanship for the price.

I´m not surprised these necks have been so popular, how often do you see a nitro finished slab-board constructed neck with a decent bit of rosewood on the market.

The guys at Kavanagh Customs are true gentlemen of the highest order, I've dealt with them a few times and they have always been more than prompt in replying to my emails. It's a shame all companies aren't like this - they put the customer first and it really shows.

Let me just say the top on this guitar is really somthin' else! I've not seen anything like it and it's hard to describe. Just trust me, it's beautiful.

Quite simply, this guitar can't be beat. You could spend the same amount of money on a low-end US Fender, or a battered second-hand one but you would never get anything like you get right here. It has become my main gigging guitar and will remain so I reckon until I die!

this guitar is as close to perfect as anyone could wish for without spending literally thousands.

I used this neck to replace an old MIJ neck with worn frets - it was cheaper than getting a refret. The difference in tone, sustain and playability was very evident from the first strum once the new neck was on.

As I've dealt with them many times before I already knew what to expect from their customer service: lightning quick, friendly and humorous replies to all my emails, intelligent and insightful answers to all my questions and really nice people to boot. If customer support alone could sell guitars there would be no company bigger or better. It's a refreshing change from all the faceless grey corporations that surround us all day long.

I've been playing guitar for 25 years, during which time I've owned many great, and not so great, instruments. This neck equals the very best the other makers can offer.

Hi John. I bought one of your left handed speednecks for my right handed strat, maybe 10years ago. Its still the best neck in comparisson to my custom shop strat & les pauls which stay in their cases.
