After the original Gem sold out of it's 100 limited edition so quickly, we received more than just a few requests for something a little different: a solid body version. A guitar with the same graceful looks, easy playability, exclusivity and high quality but also a guitar that would compete with the likes of the Gibson Les Paul: a higher output, with even more sustain.

The Gem Solid Body was born out of these requests.

Just as exclusive as the original Gem, only one hundred will ever be made. This Les Paul-killing, range-topping guitar features everything that the Gem was, in a revised solid mahogany body and including a revised bridge assembly and dual chrome-covered, hand-wound humbuckers (no visible pole pieces so extremely similar in appearance to the original Gem minibuckers):

• Solid Mahogany construction with carved top (carefully book matched flamed maple and mahogany tops available as on the Gem);
• Mahogany neck with bound thick rosewood slab board and custom mother of pearl inlays;
• All-nitrocellulose finish;
• Revised over-the-tail bridge and stop system for extra sustain;
• Custom-over wound alnico chrome-plated humbuckers (no visible poles) - a warm and jazz-like output easily overdriven for stinging leads and dirty crunch/distortion;
• High-quality electronics and switching to ensure optimum versatility;
• Completely custom-built to your specifications - tell us what you want and we'll make the changes;
• Totally handbuilt here in the UK from start to finish by one of our team;
• Limited edition of only 100 pieces.

If the popularity of the original Gem is anything to go by, it is unlikely that there will be any made available through this store as more and more are purchased and assigned as custom orders, but we will, hopefully, be able to release atleast one or two on here later on in the year so bookmark this page and revisit often, or join our mailing list to be informed if/when any of them become available through here.
